FASHION RULES THE WORLD

Why is the political situation so gloomy? Because the elite is more afraid of becoming unfashionable than doing wrong.

Political Situation Glooming

"In the attics of students, in the attic of bohemia, in the empty offices of doctors, where there are no patients, and the offices of lawyers, where there are no clients, the germ of the revolution is ripening," - Hippolytus Ten of France in 1860.

"We tend to turn a blind eye to the bitter truth and listen to the songs of sirens that turns us into animals. Is this a lot of wise men leading the great and difficult struggle for freedom? Are we inclined to be among those who, having eyes, do not see, and having ears, do not hear what is so closely connected with their possible salvation? As for me, I want to know the truth, no matter what worries it may cost me, to know the worst, and to defend myself from it," from the appeal of Patrick Henry to the Virginia Convention, March 23, 1775.

How to turn the "smartest people in the world" into the most stupid? Very simple: you need to turn the essential media on which they depend - the elite media, academic sources and schools - into disinformation tools.

But how to convince people to internalize and accept bad ideas and silly concepts? Just as easy.

We need to make these ideas fashionable

When my son was in sixth grade, one of the girls told him that he would look much better if he wore blue jeans. After he explained to me that this is what other children wear in his class, I went with him to the store and bought him several pairs of jeans. The next day he came to school in jeans, and one of the children said: "Hey, look, Daniel in jeans!" And everyone applauded.

But why, he asked me later, is it so important who wears what? After all, this is just a superficial appearance. I was proud that he had this question, which showed that he appreciates the essence, not the image, and explained that such things are important because they send social signals. Most people do not know how to evaluate the nature and essence of a person. They do not have enough time or opportunities to do this. Therefore, to judge others, they look at symbols such as clothing, hairstyle, car brand, or at signs such as a university degree.

Once, in a fashionable skyscraper in Manhattan, I was riding in an elevator, holding in my hands a coffee bought in a cafe for myself and my wife. I was dressed informally, with a Baltimore Orioles baseball cap on my head. One of the women in the elevator turned to the other and said: "I didn't know that coffee was being served here."

High Intellectual Qualities

Today, fashion can be America's biggest enemy. Maintaining a particular set of ideas allows you to look sophisticated, successful and admirable. Other ideas are presented as terrible; they indicate that a person is a goof, a bumpkin, a dork, a boor, a racist. In short, such a person hates others, because they are not like him, and he clings tenaciously to arms and religion.

One of the great successes of leftism (pretending to be liberalism) in North America and Europe today is that it has made itself so fashionable that it is identified with sophistication, high intellectual qualities and what used to be called the upper class. Not that old upper class of country clubs and yachts (although Senator John Kerry has a considerable boat), but the high quality in its merits, carriers of good, who hate racism and save the Earth.

It's funny that many of these people themselves are quite wealthy. Message: my money and success are justified by my correct behaviour. Al Gore can have a huge house and pollute the atmosphere with significant carbon emissions, but that's fine because he talks about how such things are evil.

 Greedy Rich Versus

The actual class struggle is not between one per cent of the reactionary greedy rich versus ninety-nine per cent of the rest, but between that part of the elite that benefits from the government, allied with those who receive payments from the government, and the various groups that are provided with special privileges are against everyone else. Unlike the situation described by Ten in France of the nineteenth century, the revolutionaries are no longer "doctors without patients and lawyers without clients", but those who would be without patients, without clients or work, if not for the protection of the government.

Part of the focus masking reality is that it analyzes good intentions, not the results of your actions or policies. The result can be disastrous for the economy, the poor, the health care system, and people living in countries affected by your erroneous foreign policy, but this is not important if you want to make it enjoyable. Nevertheless, the rejection of pragmatism - an assessment of real results, not ideological standards and intentions - is the beginning of an abandonment of a successful democraticlife.

 Into a Party of Snobs

Another element is the transformation of the left into a party of snobs, an instrument of contempt of the elite for the people.

At a diplomatic reception in Washington, I stood in line for free snacks for a well-groomed, well-dressed woman. We discussed textbooks, and I asked if she knew which staff was their largest buyer.

- California? - she said.

"Yeah, many people think so, but the correct answer is Texas."

I already knew what would happen. She grimaced with indescribable contempt and in the most snobbish tone said (honestly repeat the whole word for word): "Ah, these people do not think like us!"

Special hatred came into fashion. You can't look contemptuously at other races or nations or homosexuals. Such a crime of thought is rarely found now in the West. It has been replaced by hatred of the truly religious, the inhabitants of small towns, not the left, who are not thinking right.

About 50 per cent of Americans today look at the other 50 per cent. A significant portion of the media, entertainment industry, publishers, schools and politicians have contributed to this.

Deprive Invitations to Fashion Parties

Despite the pose of a heroic intellectual telling the truth of power, many or even most of those whose good fortune is based on paper recommendations or elections, and not on actual, real achievements, are either cowards or opportunists. They are incapable of courageous action when it comes to breaking with the current consensus. Once brave intellectuals challenged a tyrant who could order: "Deprive their heads!", The present does not dare say what can "Deprive their grants!", "Deprive their reputation!", "Deprive their invitations to fashion parties! ". They are not afraid that the country is going to hell, they are worried that they will be ranked among those unwashed, ignorant, provincial fools who think that the Constitution must be respected, freedom of speech is a fundamental right, and unlimited duty is terrible.

I am not kidding. These are people who can laugh at the masses as a dense crowd and at the same time cry over the poor and oppressed. Without the slightest remorse that they are both arrogant and compassionate, they look down upon those who live in most American states, small entrepreneurs, and hard-working people. Speaking in terms of Marxism, they replaced the proletariat with the yuppies of the upper-middle class. And the establishment-approved snobbery became a virtue.

But that is why modern leftism works so efficiently. They can idealize distant peasants or terrorists while mocking those who buy at Walmart stores. They can have a high standard of living, feel virtuous, and be viciously arrogant without feeling guilty.

It is beautiful life

Accepting something talk talk talk about, for example, is like wearing two different socks, drinking, slurping, or misusing the plug. And the media, many schools, the entertainment industry - all those who shape the worldview of at least half of the Americans - worked overtime to form this image and to hide all the other options. They managed to present such things as patriotism, religion, love for the family and the like as grunts of old farts, and this is their most significant achievement.

The framework of what is acceptable was not only transferred surprisingly far and fast, but most people did not even notice what happened. Both liberals and conservatives, each on its mind, argue that everything has always been like that. But this is not at all true.

When I entered a liberal public school in 1960, we pledged our oath of allegiance to the US flag and the twenty-third psalm every morning, and none of the extremely liberal democratic parents was horrified.

History of Liberals

Historically, liberals were those people who believed that the government could have a budget deficit, provided that it was not too big. Money was spent productively, creating even more enormous wealth. Now liberalism allegedly advocates unlimited costs for any purpose, also if it can be proven with certainty that investing money will not give a good result.

None of these - and many other points - are being offered for fair discussion at universities and the media. This is taken for granted as truth, and the historical background is erased. It is not particularly discouraging that countless leftists pretend to be liberals, but that among representatives of the responsible professions, there are so few people devoted to professional ethics who follow the truth.

Someone must be found to save America, because scientists, journalists, Washington insiders, as well as various "experts" are not going to do this. They are not afraid to make a mistake, to destroy society or to break their duty, they are worried, no matter how they are called dumbasses and rednecks.

ANIMATION CREATION

Animation World: You don’t have to be a cartoonist to have animation be a big part of your life. Animation  is everywhere in our homes, schools, work, and everywhere there’s a screen. And if you grew up in  the modern country, chances are you’ve witnessed seminal accomplishments in animation history without even knowing it. These works marked important milestones in animation , an art form that continuously challenges its creators to push technology so that anything that can be imagined can also be brought to life. Animation, while often thought of as a more or less modern medium, has been being used in different forms since 1906. MAGIC LANTERN: The Magic Lantern is an image projector using pictures on sheets of glass. Since some sheets contain moving parts, it is considered the first example of projected animation.
